Story Sticks

Stick Stories began with the sticks, inspired by "The Aboriginal Memorial" at the National Gallery of Art, Australia. The 200 hollow log coffins were created by Ramingining artists as a memorial to all the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lives lost to colonial and ongoing conflict in Australia from 1788 to 1988.

Story sticks are found driftwood applied with acrylic paint, metal, string, feathers, fabric, buttons, shells, fabric & misc. scrap. Each 7 to 8 ft. high.
